Lofen Palace Tour

Discover the hidden imperial palace

On June 2, 1122, Emperor Henry V granted city rights to Utrecht's citizens in his palace, known as 'Lofen'. Although the palace was destroyed by fire in 1253, its remains lie beneath Dom Square and the Fish Market. Explore this hidden Palace, where Utrecht's history began 900 years ago. Two volunteer guides will lead you through Palace Lofen. Discover its vaults and enjoy one of Utrecht's newest historical attractions.
