Additional Information & Description

Venice’s landmark interiors and island crafts come together in a single day on this guided tour. An expert local guide leads the visit, combining time in the city with a journey across the water. The full experience lasts approximately nine hours and 30 minutes.

Inside St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace

Skip-the-line entry takes you into St. Mark’s Basilica, with access to its ground floor, before the guided visit continues at the Doge’s Palace. The palace stands as a symbol of Venetian power, giving the tour a distinct historical focus alongside the basilica visit. Your guide speaks English, and an included headset helps you hear the commentary as you explore these two landmarks.

Venice on foot and by gondola

A Venice walking tour adds a street-level perspective to the day, while a shared gondola ride takes you through the city’s canals with a Venetian gondolier. These are two separate parts of the experience: time exploring on foot and time travelling along the waterways in a traditional gondola. The gondola is shared rather than reserved exclusively for your party.

Glassmaking in Murano and lacemaking in Burano

After the lunch break, travel by private water taxi to Murano for a glassblowing demonstration at a Murano glass factory. You can also admire the glass pieces there. The island excursion then continues to Burano, where colourful houses and a live lacemaking demonstration introduce another side of Venetian craft. The boat tour includes both islands and concludes with a return to Venice.

Additional museum entry

The ticket also includes entrance to the Museo Correr, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale and the Monumental Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana. These admissions extend the ticket’s scope beyond the guided monument visits, gondola ride and island excursion.

Arrival and ticket access

Meet your guide at the designated starting point in Piazzetta San Marco, arriving 15 minutes before the tour begins. Tickets are delivered instantly and can be presented on a smartphone. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, so arrival at the starting point is independent.

Meals and other costs

Lunch, other food and beverages are not included. The itinerary has a lunch break before the island journey. Gratuities are optional and are also excluded from the ticket price.
