IAM Illusion Art Museum Prague puts perception to the test with art you can touch, explore and photograph. Spread across three floors of a historic building, its interactive exhibits invite you to look closely, change your viewpoint and let your mind play tricks on you.

Illusion techniques meet original art

The first museum in the Czech Republic dedicated to illusion and trick art, IAM brings historic illusion-making techniques together with original works by Czech and international artists. The collection includes work by Patrik Proško, Jonty Hurwitz, Patrick Hughes, Ivana Štenclová and Florian Goerlitz, giving you several artists’ approaches to the subject within one visit. The museum is also a five-time Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice recipient.

Czech history through a different lens

Many exhibits draw on Czech history and culture, with figures such as Franz Kafka, Antonín Dvořák and Václav Havel appearing among their inspirations. These references give the collection a local focus alongside its international artists: the subject matter is not only visual trickery, but also people connected with the country’s cultural and public life.
