Additional Information & Description
Žižkov Television Tower brings the whole of Prague into view from an elevated observatory. The city-wide panorama is the reason to head up: rather than seeing Prague from street level, you can look across its skyline and, in optimal weather, far beyond it.
A panorama from 93 metres
A lift takes you to the observatory, 93 metres above the ground. From this height, the view can extend as far as 100 kilometres when weather conditions are optimal. That distant reach depends on visibility, but it adds another dimension to the visit: the outlook stretches beyond the city itself. Allow around one hour for the visit.
A tower above the historic skyline
Constructed between 1985 and 1992, the Žižkov Television Tower rises to a total height of 216 metres. Its architecture stands well above Prague’s historic skyline, making the structure itself a distinctive part of the visit. The viewing level sits below the tower’s full height, so the observatory elevation and the height of the building are different measures.
Observatory admission and an online audio guide
Your ticket includes entrance to the observatory and an online audio guide to accompany the visit. The guide is available in nine languages: Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian and Chinese. Alongside time spent looking out over Prague, you have an audio element included in the same ticket.
Location and ticket access
The tower is at Mahlerovy sady in Prague. Tickets are delivered instantly and can be presented on a smartphone. Wheelchair access is available.
What is not included
Food, beverages and Wi-Fi are not included with this ticket. Admission and the online audio guide are the included elements; refreshments and internet access fall outside them.
