The Venice Pass brings together the decorated interiors of Doge’s Palace, the golden mosaics of St. Mark’s Basilica and a guided boat trip through the Venetian Lagoon. Its three components take you from major monuments around St. Mark’s Square to islands where glassmaking, lace and old churches give each stop a distinct focus.
Doge’s Palace: art and the Bridge of Sighs
Fast-track entry to Doge’s Palace gives you access to rooms decorated with works by Titian and Tintoretto. Follow the golden staircase through interiors marked by triumphal arches and frescoed walls, with the splendor of the Venetian Republic expressed in their decoration. Access to the Bridge of Sighs is also included. Cross the passage once used by convicts heading to prison—a different chapter of the palace’s history from the art-filled rooms. Entry with this ticket is available only from 12:00 PM.
Three islands, three different stops
The boat tour departs from St. Mark’s Square and includes the roundtrip journey, with a tour guide on board. At Murano, a visit to a glass factory includes a glass-blowing demonstration, so you can watch makers shape traditional pieces rather than only see finished glass. Burano shifts the focus to handmade lace shops and brightly colored fishermen’s houses. Torcello brings a quieter stop, with old churches and a historic setting. Together, the three island visits extend the pass beyond Venice’s central monuments into the crafts and places of the lagoon.

Hosted entry to St. Mark’s Basilica includes access to the ground floor of the five-domed cathedral. Look for biblical artworks and mosaics crafted with pure gold, the decoration behind its name, the Golden Basilica. A downloadable audio tour develops the stories behind the basilica’s treasures and history as you explore. It is available in English, Spanish, French and German, adding spoken context to the artworks and architectural details inside.
