Teplice Castle and the spa’s patron saint

A tour of Teplice Castle forms part of the day, alongside a visit to the Temple of the Holy Cross Exaltation to see the remains of St. Clarus. A fourth-century martyr, Clarus became the patron saint of the spa. These stops take the visit beyond Teplice’s reputation as a spa destination, bringing its castle and religious heritage into focus.

A Neo-Romanesque church beneath the Ore Mountains

You also step inside the Church of St. Bartholomew, whose Neo-Romanesque architecture stands against the backdrop of the Ore Mountains. Built in 1864 for non-Catholics, it followed plans by architect F. A. Stüler. After 1945, it became the Church of Prokop Holý, a branch of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. The church is on Chelčického 447/2 in Teplice, near the Czech–German border.

What to allow for separately

Lunch and admission to the Thermálium thermal baths are excluded. The day centres on sightseeing rather than an included bathing session, so any thermal-bath visit would be an additional expense.
